This position will supervise other team members, run the operation of the accounting department, assist with technical work, and assist management with determining the needs of their department. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workflow Management:<\/strong>\u00a0Design and implement efficient tax workflows to streamline processes and ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operational Strategy:<\/strong>\u00a0Develop strategic operational plans for the tax department that align with the company\u2019s overall business objectives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resource Allocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Manage the allocation of resources and staff to optimize productivity and meet departmental goals within budgetary constraints.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Performance Management:<\/strong>\u00a0Monitor team performance against standards and objectives, providing feedback and coaching to ensure all team members are achieving their potential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Process Improvement:<\/strong>\u00a0Continually assess and refine tax processes and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Client Contact:\u00a0<\/strong>Work with clients in the healthcare industry and other personal service industries to keep their accounting records up to date and accurate.\n<ul>\n<li>Handle client communications through the use of portal messaging, telephone, and video conferencing<\/li>\n<li>Prepare individual and business returns with multiple states, mostly 1065, 1120S; some 1120 and 1041s<\/li>\n<li>Assist with accounting and bookkeeping to maintain clean books<\/li>\n<li>Prepare tax projections<\/li>\n<li>Respond to inquiries from tax authorities<\/li>\n<li>Tax research for client issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Qualifications<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a candidate with 7+ years of experience in a public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
