There&#8217;s apparently been no official announcement or communication to teams, just the unlucky &#8220;winners&#8221; being quietly swept away one-by-one. There&#8217;s not much more to the story, Deloitte didn&#8217;t want to comment and they&#8217;re leaning on the &#8220;performance management processes&#8221; as reasoning for why some folks had to go so even if they did it would just be gobbledegook about that. We all know how that works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re also hearing scattered reports of layoffs at Deloitte US which&#8230;what? Evidently they forgot to put some names on the list <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goingconcern.com\/layoff-watch-24-deloittes-busy-scaring-people-with-business-update-meetings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">when they first did this back in August<\/a>. The good news is some of you will be free to trick or treat with your kiddos next week I guess. Someone should go as a Business Update meeting, that&#8217;s about as scary as it gets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doesn&#8217;t it feel like they&#8217;ve been saying consulting work has been slow for a suspiciously long time now?
